Welcome to Kinship Canvas. By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using KinshipCanvas.com, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Use of Service
Kinship Canvas provides tools for generating family tree charts from GEDCOM files. You agree to use our services for lawful purposes only. You may not use our service to upload files containing malicious code, fraudulent data, or content that violates any applicable law.
3. Your GEDCOM Files
You retain full ownership of any GEDCOM files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant Kinship Canvas a limited license to process that file solely for the purpose of generating your chart. We do not claim any ownership over your genealogical data. Files are deleted automatically after 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Payments and Refunds
All prices are listed in US dollars. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We offer a satisfaction guarantee — if there is a printing error on our part, we will replace the item at no cost. Digital downloads are non-refundable once the file has been delivered. If you experience a technical issue preventing download, contact us and we will make it right.
5. Intellectual Property
The Kinship Canvas name, logo, chart templates, background artwork, and website design are the intellectual property of Kinship Canvas and may not be reproduced or used without written permission. Your generated chart, based on your own genealogical data, belongs to you.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Kinship Canvas is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of our service. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kinship Canvas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of revenue.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
